National part of the contest is officially closed

We are glad to inform that national part of the WLE 2015 has ended on 1 July. International team of Wiki Loves Earth wants to thank to all national organizers of the contest and to active participants and photographers. You rocked it.

This year contest was international with 26 countries participating from four different continents – Europe, Asia, Africa and America. Most of countries organised the contest from 1 May to 31 May 2015, while some countries extended the contest period till 30 June.

Another thing all of us can be proud of is the number of photos. Starting from 2013 the quantity of images was rapidly increasing with every year. We had 11 736 picture in 2013. In 2014 users uploaded 71 075. And in 2015 we have a new record – 108 446 photos were uploaded during the contest.

The national part of the contest is over. It’s a time for international jury to evaluate all winning photos and make a decision. That is the task for July. Meanwhile we are going to present you winners by country. Stay in touch and don’t miss a chance to see best pictures of stunning natural heritage of Earth.
