    1. You can definitely participate next year but you might need to organize the event at a country level. Ideally, reach out to some active Wikipedians in Myanmar to set up the event page once the dates are announced, and then you can submit your pictures.

      Good luck!

  1. I too am eager to participate in the contest. I hope someone will organize participation from India

    1. As of today, India hasn’t approved its participation yet, please check this page later.
You can upload pictures taken with mobile camera as long as they have at least 2Mpx.

    1. There has never been Wiki Loves Earth contest in the US. It is unlikely it will be organised in 2021 either.

    1. Lets hope that Nepal will be a participating country in 2021 and you will have a chance this year

  2. I am a Bangladeshi citizen and I have created an account in Common.. Now,how can i uploada photo under the contest ? And i don’thave a wedsite!is this a proble?

  3. I hace been living for some years in Chile … Can I participate with pictures from there, even I have german nationality?

    1. Hi! Sure, you can. Nationality does not matter in Wiki Loves Earth. The contest in Chile will start on June 1st.

    1. Hi! Montenegro hasn’t announced its participation this year. You can upload pictures of nature protected areas in other countries if you have some.

    1. Hi! We are not sure yet if Pakistan will participate this year, unfortunately.

  4. In Italy the team of volunteers choised only a smart part of the country.
Is it that choise compliant with wiki rules,?

    1. In every participating country there is a team of organisers who are responsible for the contest. These teams emerge by themselves; if there are no volunteers in UK or USA to organise this contest there, then there is no contest there.

  5. Hi,

As per the article published on Dawn (Link) top 10 pictures to represent Pakistan are shortlisted can you please confirm that this news is correct? and are these shortlisted images announced on Wikipedia site or can you please share the link of the page where officially result is announced. I am asking is my image is among these 10 images but i have not received any notification or information for the Wikipedia directly. I also sent an email on contact@wikimediapakistan.org but did not received any reply.

    Thanks,
    M.Awais

    1. Hi. Yes you can.

For example, if you traveled throughout Ukraine and have made photos of it’s natural heritage objects you can enter to Ukrainian competition. You can participate in several local competions either.
